Klimaforum09 is supported by the Danish government with just over 8 million DKK Nearly half of the money goes to rent of the venues, barely 2 million DKK is spent on interpreters and various forms of technical aid for the event, while the one million DKK. is used to invite people from regions in Africa, Asia and Latin America, already bearing the consequences of climate change in their lives, for example in the form of drought-stricken fields, destroyed fishing areas and threatening floods.

Just over one million DKK equivalent to one eitght of the budget is used to the actual work to organize the forum in the form of salaries to employees.
